Our Vision
Our vision is to make Haverö in Western Medelpad into the Mekka of the folk flute. Swedish folk flutes – spelpipor – have in recent years become increasingly popular among musicians and those with an interest in folk music. The folk flute in its present forms is historically and geographically connected to the regions of Jämtland, Härjedalen and Medelpad. The aim of this project is to make Haverö into a natural meeting point for folk flute players and enthusiasts.
